Blixten slår ner i det högsta trädet. Saven leder blixten till marken, den förångas längs vägen och bildar en explosiv kraft som spränger bort barken i en spiral runt stammen. Trädets inre struktur är vriden och dess fibrer följer en svag spiralform runt kärnan, som nu framträder.

Från tunnaste silkestråd till kraftigaste rep är principen densamma: en mängd enskilda trådar tvinnas samman runt en kärna. Lösa fibrer binds genom att snurras medsols eller motsols. Rörelsen är klistret. Om den vänds på upplöses den igen. 

I utställningen framträder materialens spiralitet som en gemensam kraft. Metaller, silke, lin och byssustrådar från musslor breder ut sig i textila verk och textmaterial. 

Lightning strikes the tallest tree. The sap leads the lightning to the ground and creates an explosive force that blows away the bark in a spiral around the stem. The inner structure of the tree is twisted and its fibers follow a spiral shape around the core, which now appears.

From thin silk thread to thick rope, the principle is the same: a number of individual threads are twisted together around a core. Loose fibers are bound by spinning clockwise or counterclockwise. The movement is the glue.

In the exhibition Speîra, the spirality of materials emerges as a mutual force. Metals, silk, flax and byssus threads from mussels spread in textile works and textual materials.
